About Rotary

Springfield Metro Rotary

July 2010:  Sixty-four community leaders met for the first time to form Springfield, Missouri’s newest Rotary chapter.  Over half of the charter members were first time Rotarians; offering our chapter a fresh start mentality that has continued to permeate energy and vitality into our organization over the ensuing years.

Springfield Metro Rotary believes in building strong friendships by helping each other while serving the Springfield community.

“Service above self and action above words.” To the men and women of Springfield Metro Rotary this is more than a slogan: It is a core value all our members should share.

We fulfill this pledge is by giving back to the community, volunteering to help many  non-profit organizations in the Springfield community:

  • Bridges for Youth
  • Southwest Center for Aging
  • Ronald McDonald House
  • The Gardens
  • Good Samaritan Boys Ranch

We make an active effort to engage the community with  projects big and small: painting, cleaning, yard/ garden work, building handicap access ramps.  These are just some of the ways we have worked with these organizations to strengthen the Springfield community.

Come be a part of the newest Rotary Club in Springfield; help us fulfill our mission to make Springfield and the world a better place to live.
